COVID-19 Preparedness Plan

Dreamboat has developed this preparedness plan to build upon the protocols identified by leaders in the salon and spa industry and in accordance with current state and federal government mandates and guidelines for COVID-19. We’ve taken a proactive approach to expanding our operating procedures and cleaning and sanitation protocols based on the stringent requirements of the State of Minnesota Board of Cosmetology Educators, Phenix Salon Suites Franchisor, Center for Disease Control (CDC), Minnesota Department of Health, OSHA standards related to COVID-19.

My top priority is to provide the safest environment possible to protect the health of everyone that walks through my door. This requires a comprehensive approach to addressing common area and individual salon sanitation standards. The health of my family and my clients is my priority and as a business of one, my personal health is a requirement for operation. I am not only a licensed hairstylist, I am trained in sanitation and hygiene and am used to protecting my clients and myself. I am prepared to take the added steps outlined in this plan to do everything in my power to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while continuing to serve my community.

The salon suite model was truly built for social distancing due to all suites being fully enclosed. fully enclosed and each having separate exhaust. I believe that my salon is safer than any office building in the city and know that I am trained to protect myself and my clients against the spread of disease through extensive hygiene practices. I will endeavor to execute a program that allows me to operate in a manner that minimizes risk for those coming in for services as well as to myself and my family.

I will prescreen myself and my clients prior to and upon entering my salon. I will be taking my temperature at the beginning of each day and will be taking contactless temperatures on all guests before admittance into the building. For all temperatures at or above 100.4°, for either clients or myself, the result will be to leave the premises. I will not put my valued clients and friends or family at risk by working with a fever or symptoms of the virus or any illness, as I have done for the entirety of my career.

Cleaning & Disinfecting

As per protocol, the common areas of the salon will be is fully cleaned / disinfected throughout each operating day following the guidelines of the Minnesota Board of Cosmetology Educators and guidelines set forth by the CDC related specifically to COVID-19 with EPA registered cleaners labeled as bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal. We will also provide a hand sanitizer station in the front lobby and ask that all entering use hand sanitizer or wash their hands before services. All guests will be asked to wash their hands with soap and warm water for a minimum of 20 seconds prior to all services.
